Springs Golf club |
Outgoing Market Harborough and District Club President Lorna
Gutteridge had her Presidents Dinner at Kilworth Springs Golf Club on Saturday
14th June 2008. Many Speakers attended the event including the Guest Speaker
Peter Sterry, The Area District President and also past National President, who
is from the Nottingham Speakers Club. The event also saw Margaret Richards
become Club President for the forthcoming Speakers year 2008-2009 |

Chatterbox Competition 2007 |
This years Chatterbox Competition was hosted by Leicester
Speakers Club at Devonshire Place, Leicester on Saturday 29th September. At
stake was the newly named Bruce Hare Trophy. Taking part from Market Harborough
were Chris Morten (Team Chairman), John Tolton & Dave Niven. This years theme
was War And Peace. The winning team was Leicester Speakers Club with runners up
Lutterworth Speakers Club. Leicester are pictured below recieving the trophy. |

Lorna Gutteridge becomes Club President. At the Presidents
Dinner on Saturday 9th June at Kilworth Springs Golf Club Lorna became Club
President of the Market Harborough and District Speakers Club. Her elected vice
President was Margaret Richards.

These regalia (or is it regalium?) were all in evidence and proudly worn
at the Club’s Annual Dinner,
hosted this year by Club President Dora Mack and held at Kilworth
Springs Golf Club, South Kilworth Leicestershire, on Saturday June 10th
2006.
